UPDATE ON YOUR ORDER!

As the founder of Actively Black, it is my responsibility to ensure that you are served with excellence. I am writing to first apologize for the experience you have had with your order for 1 or more of our Black Grown Cotton Shirts that we released in June.

But you are also owed an explanation and a solution.

We source our Black Grown Cotton products from the Bridgeforth Family in Alabama that has owned their land for 150 years and grows the cotton that then gets turned into the shirts and hoodies that we produce for our Harvest Collections. But there is a middleman company that takes that raw cotton, spins it into thread, turns it into fabric that gets cut and sewn into the shirts and hoodies. Once that process finishes, they dye the cotton products into the color of the shirt or hoodie that will be the finished product.

Unfortunately, not only did we receive the product late, but the dying process was not done properly and the shirts and ink were leaking from the shirts which caused major quality control issues. We did not know this would be the case until the week of Juneteenth and after troubleshooting and trying to fix the issues, I ultimately decided that we would not ship a defective product to you and we were unable to deliver your order in the time frame that we promised.

Even though the product was delivered to us late, we were upgrading all the shipping to express overnight shipping to make sure you would receive it, and that is why we did not send out any emails at the time. We thought we would be able to still fulfill our promise until we found the quality control issues with the shirts.

Again, I apologize for this inconvenience and I feel terrible about your experience. We are waiting on a new batch of the shirts to be finished and delivered to us so we can still honor your order and ship you your product. On top of that, I created an automatic discount that is tied to your email address that you used when placing your order for 35% OFF YOUR NEXT PURCHASE. You don't have to enter any code, just login with your email or enter your email at checkout and the discount will be automatically applied. We did it this way to ensure only people who were affected by this issue get the discount. It is one time only and cannot be shared.
