I'm white woman in her 50s -- definitely not your target audience. But I've been following you as a company since my son wrote about Actively Black in Inc. Magazine some time ago. I'm also a branding professional, and from that perspective, I can't help but admire everything that Actively Black is and stands for, and how well you have established, expressed and continue to reinforce the Actively Black Brand. I recognize that Black history is simply history that has been criminally underrepresented and that while many U.S. ethnic and religious groups have experienced bigotry and prejudice, none is or has been targeted with as much deliberate and sanctioned violence as America's Black community. That should not be acceptable to anyone. Your market and approach are -- and, especially today, should be -- tightly focused, which means that my allyship should not be a lead-in to direct involvement, nor should it take on any sense of appropriation. That said, I am happy to have purchased something from your business.
