It's difficult to describe. The shorts are very soft and "cozy" maybe for a cold nite but they are very short. More like a lounging kind of shorts, not something I would wear out for any occasion. I also bought them in a very large size, 3X, hoping they would have a loose fit. I usually where an XL or 1X when I want something loose. But never purchasing anything from this company, I wasn't sure what to expect, so I bought the 3X. I could barely fit them! I won't be wearing them even though I paid top dollar. I think a petite woman might like them, but they may need the 3X. Sorry.
