I purchased these shorts in size large for myself because I wanted something more modest than the women's shorts. The fabric is heavyweight, but not hot. It is soft on the skin. Of course, guy pockets are deep, I don't need a purse. I can fit my phone, id and cash in the front pockets and there is one on the back too. The zippers and drawstring are sturdy.
I'm happy to wear them everyday around the house.
